Started out in Gold Beach. Slept pretty good at Beachcomber Inn. Below is a really cool pic of the night sky with the hotel lights.
Left Gold Beach and planned on stopping at several viewpoints and short hikes to see the coastline. Part of Samuel H. Boardman State Park.
First stop was Arch Rock. Beautiful trees & pathway to see Arch Rock.
Next stop was Natural Bridges. A short walk to see beauty.
From here on out we probably stopped at each viewpoint stop, about every 1/2 mile or so.
Some places we stopped and either couldn't find the trailhead or it looked to steep of a climb, so we just hopped back in the car. Onto the next.
This one was actually a beach we could walk down to. Lots of tide pools with mussels, anemone & little critters.
We decided we needed coffee & a bathroom break so kept driving to Brookings.
We also found an open market near the harbor of Brookings. I didn't know they had a brewery there too. Chetco Brewing. We are at a fish & chip place. Pretty good. The Hungry Clam.
Next stop: Trees of Mystery in Klamath, CA.
(To be continued).........
