We went on the 64 mile round trip boat ride. Our Captain, Tim, was super funny. Quite a character. He had many funny stories and great information about the area & wildlife. He had a dog on board with him. He said, "his name is Puppy, my son, Boy named him."
We took our time going, seeing seals & birds.
This guy caught a big fish. Not sure if it was real, or staged for our trip. The bridge was really cool that we went under.
At the top of the bridge was this gal named Alice, she took our picture. Which later of course you had to buy. $7 not bad.
Lots of different types of trees, lots of birds - saw an eagle perched in a tree, red tailed hawks, etc. In some parts the water was as smooth as glass.
Anyway, we walked up, found a nice table outside and started w/ drinks. I got an Arch Rock Pale (the brew house is actually right near our resort). Everyone else got Bloody Mary's.
The food was really good. I had a pulled pork sandwich. They had some really tasty BBQ sauce on the tables.
I already dug into it, but so good!
Mom had the brisket.
The lodge has places you can stay, a little market & gas station. There is a road to get you there. This is not a good pic of me, but Mom is busting up and it's good of her.
By the end of our boat ride, we had dried off and it got chilly again as we got closer to the coast.
Really fun trip. I'd highly recommend it to anyone up here in the area.
Fun times!
